Daniel Bon, Air Quality Scientist and Planner, Planning and Policy Program, Air Pollution Control Division of the Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE), will present “An Overview of the 2014 Front Range Air Pollution and Photochemistry Experiment (FRAPPE) and Discover AQ.” FRAPPE is a collaborative effort between the CDPHE, the University of Colorado and Colorado State University, UC Berkeley, and other university collaborators, local projects and agencies including local school districts, NASA, NOAA, and NCAR. The project collated data from ground-based air monitoring sites, mobile units, and numerous aircraft, in an effort to characterize and understand summertime air quality in the Northern Front Range Metropolitan Area.

Daniel Bon has worked for CDPHE since completing his PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry at CU Boulder in 2011.  Daniel recently served as coordinator and planner for mobile operations during the FRAPPE Study (2014).  He has also worked as a high school teacher, photographer, research diver and environmental education instructor.
